Whether you're coming here from social media, my newsletter, or stumbled here from the vast waves of the internet, welcome!

Publishing my novel has never felt as real as it does now. I've reached milestones that ten years ago I never could've imagined myself reaching. Ten years ago I probably would've still needed convincing that I was worth any salt as a writer.

But turning forty (and having spent enough years in therapy now) have finally helped me overcome those limiting beliefs. Nothing lights a fire under your feet like an existential crisis and the imminent closing in of life.

I feel pretty confident that I'm on my way to self-publishing my first novel. I've not only finished several drafts, but I've recently received my manuscript back from a developmental edit I booked earlier this year. I have a much clearer path now on how to move forward. I've reached out to a couple of cover artists, and I'm waiting to hear back from one of them.

I'll be finally diving in to revisions this week, having given myself enough time to let all the feedback from my dev edit cook.

The amount of work ahead of me is daunting. And as I told my therapist just this week: This job of trying to be a successful author is a never-ending cycle. We write, we edit, we revise, we publish, we market, and we rinse and repeat. If you're in it, you're in it. And friends, I'm in it. In the famous words of Luke Danes from Gilmore Girls, "I'm all in."

I hope you stick around. I hope you find something fun and appealing about this space. Please feel free to explore it, to join my newsletter, or follow me on social media.
